Jon Anderson walked over and said that he wanted me to do a featured solo spot intro to "State of Independence." I asked him what he wanted me to play. Jon handed me four charts, violins, 2nd violins, cellos, and string basses, and he said, 'Play that.' I took a look, sightread all the parts, and then asked, "Do you mind if I just play freely?" I wanna compose and play something different every night. He said yeah..... "That would be great!" So that's what I did. Every show, I came up with somet
