This Clarke County raccoon tested positive for rabies after it came to the Center exhibiting the neurological signs that can be seen in the video. It was quickly euthanized due to high suspicion of rabies based on these signs and possible exposure to the finder. Rabies in not uncommon in our area. We also had a feral kitten recently test positive in our county. These are merely the affected animals that were found, exposed to humans, and tested. They by no means represent all of the rabies cases
