El Al Flight 1862 was an international cargo flight operated by the Israeli national airline El Al. On October 4, 1992, the Boeing 747-200F crashed into an apartment complex in the Bijlmermeer neighborhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands, shortly after taking off from Schiphol Airport.
