The county has been growing at a rapid rate over the past few years, and Fresno County Supervisor Luis Chavez says the current infrastructure can’t keep up. So, the county supervisors approved a $248,000 grant through the California Office of Traffic Safety in hopes of reducing the number of deaths and injuries involving vehicles and pedestrians. The project targets 15 schools around the county, providing temporary improvements like crosswalks, lighting, signage, and other safety enhancements. |
