If you have a newborn, a Solly Wrap is the best way to wear your baby. But when you’re a new parent, everything is new and frankly, kind of intimidating. My baby is now almost 4 months old and I now feel like a total pro at the Solly, but when I first started out, it def took a bit of practice. A lot of tutorials out there go way too fast so I wanted to create one for you that is nice and slow! Here are the steps plus a few additional tips: PUTTING THE WRAP ON: -Locate the tag and use that as th

✏️Today’s Solly 101 lesson is all about fabric. If you’ve done any babywearing research, you may have heard the terms one-way stretch and two-way stretch wraps. Here’s the difference: ➕ One-way stretch wraps stretch in a single direction—usually horizontally. ➕ Two-way stretch wraps stretch both lengthwise and widthwise, offering extra flexibility and comfort for you and baby. The amount and direction of stretch depends on the fabric. The Solly Wrap is a two-way stretch wrap made from 100% TENCE

Did you know that stretchy wraps aren’t just one of the comfiest ways to babywear in those early days—they’re also one of the safest? Many structured carriers (including our new Soft Carrier) require baby to meet specific weight *and* height minimums to keep their airway clear and supported, and generally shouldn’t be used until baby fits into 3 month clothing (though it’s always best to check your carrier’s specific guidelines). Wraps, on the other hand, offer a completely customizable fit, mak

Wondering when to use The Wrap versus The Soft Carrier? Think of them like pants: The Wrap = Sweatpants Ideal for postpartum Ultra cozy for hanging at home Great for all-day wear The Soft Carrier = Your favorite jeans Feel great when you’re finally ready for them postpartum Look good out and about More durable and supportive Like any hard pants, you'll be ready to change back into sweats at the end of the day | Solly Baby

✏️ Ready to unwrap? In today’s Solly 101, we’re breaking down how to safely and smoothly take baby out of the wrap—with the tails touching the ground. Hint: The first step isn’t untying your double-knot! Think of it like peeling an onion. With one hand always supporting baby, start by pulling down the horizontal pass with the tag. Next, peel away the cross-passes one at a time. Once baby is free, lift them straight up and out. Then take the fabric at your waist and pull it up and over your head.
