The day is about family, food, and of course, football. Watching the NFL games on Thanksgiving Day (and night) is a big part of many household get-togethers, making the annual tradition even more fun no matter which team you root for.

Three NFL games will be played on Thursday, beginning with the Bears at the Lions at 10:30 a.m. They are followed by an NFC East battle between the Giants and the Cowboys at 2:30 p.m. Then the Dolphins will take on the Packers in the evening’s game at 6:20 p.m.

The wonderful tradition of NFL action on Thanksgiving began back in 1934. The Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys have hosted a Thanksgiving game annually since the Super Bowl era began. Both teams will play divisional matchups during the Thanksgiving slate.
