Dejan Joveljic scored his fifth goal of the playoffs in the 86th minute and the LA Galaxy advanced to the MLS Cup final for the first time since 2014 with a 1-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders in the Western Conference final.

Injuries mean coach Brian Schmetzer will need to make some lineup changes, but the Sounders are in a "confident spot" headed into Saturday's postseason showdown with the LA Galaxy.

The No. 2 Los Angeles Galaxy will face the No. 4 Seattle Sounders in the 2024 Western Conference Final. The Galaxy are the favorites among the four teams still left, having swept the Colorado Rapids in the first round before dominating the Minnesota United 6-2 in the conference semifinals.
