Aquarium staffers have treated 257 live sea turtles in all, which included 214 critically endangered Kemp’s ridley turtles; 39 green turtles; and four loggerheads. About 100 of those turtles have been rescued in just the last two days, according to a report from the aquarium.

The New England Aquarium said 100 turtles have been rescued in the last two days alone, washing up on Cape Cod suffering from hypothermia.

The turtles washed ashore along Cape Cod Bay. They are being treated until they’re ready to be released back into the ocean.
