The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has acquired forward Scott Laughton, a fourth-round selection in 2025 NHL Draft and a sixth-round selection in the 2027 NHL Draft from Philadelphia in exchange for Toronto’s first-round selection in the 2027 NHL Draft and forward Nikita Grebenkin.

Scott Laughton and Brandon Carlo were acquired by the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline and made their debuts with their new team Saturday, during a 7-4 loss to the Colorado Avalanche.

Heading into the deadline, the Toronto Maple Leafs had holes at centre and on the right side of their blue line. For one night at least, those will both be plugged.
