Will Benson tied it in the ninth inning with an RBI triple and scored on second baseman Orlando Arcia's fielding error to give the Cincinnati Reds a 4-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday.

The Rockies had multiple heroes and they needed every one of them in their 3-2 win over the Reds on Friday night at Great American Ball Park.

Santiago Espinal led off the ninth inning with a double to left field. After a TJ Friedl was retired and Matt McLain struck out, the Rockies intentionally walked Elly De La Cruz for the third time of the night, and Austin Hays struck out to end the game.

In his 51st career start, Garrett Crochet accomplished two feats in one dominant outing: his first career complete game and first career shutout. And that was all the Boston Red Sox needed to walk away with a 1-0 win over the visiting Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday.

"There's so much less certainty of the grouping near the top," said Reds director of amateur scouting, Joe Katuska said.

The Rockies entered Friday night 21-72. Seventy-two losses, and the Reds couldn't beat them in a 3-2 loss Friday night. Colorado started German Marquez Friday night, who entered with a record of 3-10. The Reds scored just one run off him.

For the first time in De La Cruz's career, he was intentionally walked three times in a single game. That was consequential in the Colorado Rockies' 3-2 victory over the Reds Friday, July 11.

As the Cincinnati Reds try to claw back into the playoffs, and with the Cleveland Guardians' tumble, they should consider trading for their All-Star outfielder.
