The Food and Drug Administration has recalled three more lots of frozen shrimp over concerns the products may be contaminated with a radionuclide (Cesium-137). The recall applies to a limited quantity of Great Value frozen raw shrimp EZ-peel & deveined tail-on 21-25 per pound packages.

Eating the shrimp could result in low-dose exposure that damages DNA in the body’s cells, increasing cancer risk.

The FDA is warning consumers not to eat certain frozen shrimp products sold at Walmart after other products from the same company tested positive for a radioactive substance.
