The New York Jets landed their new quarterback this week, but they had competition. They just managed to win the battle for his services. New York agreed to a two-year, $40 million deal with Justin Fields to take over as the team's quarterback.

After Justin Fields signed with the New York Jets, and Russell Wilson appears to be on the way out of Pittsburgh as well, the Steelers are expected to deal for a promising if raw New England Patriots quarterback.

By acquiring DK Metcalf via a trade with the Seahawks, the Steelers now have a dangerous receiving duo similar to the one that resides in Philadelphia with A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. To compete the plans, the Steelers just need to find their version of Jalen Hurts, which might very well be Justin Fields if Pittsburgh can re-sign him.

DK Metcalf must have had the time of his life when one of his biggest wishes was fulfilled. The Pittsburgh Steelers acquired Metcalf and signed him to a four-year, $132 million contract extension in exchange for a 2025 second-round draft pick to the Seattle Seahawks.
