Several horses were on the loose south of Grand Rapids Wednesday morning, sparking a traffic alert for the animals.

KENT COUNTY, MI – Traffic is slowed on M-6 on Wednesday, March 5, while police and others round up 15 horses that got loose. An officer reported “pandemonium.” The horses were reported loose on M-6 between U.S. 131 and Kalamazoo Avenue SW. They had escaped from a boarding facility.

Michigan State Police troopers near Grand Rapids had to wrangle several horses Wednesday morning on the side of the highway.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A salon fire on South Division Avenue is being investigated an arson. Sunday, Grand Rapids Fire Department (GFRD) responded to a fire at Firme Estilo Unisex Salon. After further investigation, firefighters concluded the fire "does not appear to be accidental," according to the GRFD.
