Honolulu crime boss Michael J. Miske Jr., 50, was found dead today at the Federal Detention Center in Honolulu, where he was being held while awaiting sentencing in January.

Miske was being held at Federal Detention Center Honolulu after being found guilty in July of racketeering conspiracy. He faced 11 other felony charges, including kidnapping and the 2016 murder of Jonathan Fraser.

Michael Miske, 50, was found unresponsive Sunday at the Federal Detention Center Honolulu and life-saving efforts by staff and emergency medical responders failed to save him, the Bureau of Prisons said in a news release. It was unclear what caused his death.
