Thanks to the IU football game and other events, Bloomington tourism officials expect a busy Thanksgiving weekend.

Thanksgiving means turkey, football and family gatherings, and it also means the start of the holiday travel season!

Kroger stores will be open until 3 p.m. The Bloomington area stores are at 1175 S. College Mall Road, 4025 S. Old Ind. 37, 528 S. College Ave., 1825 Kinser Pike and 500 S. Liberty Drive. The Kroger pharmacies and The Little Clinic sites will be closed on Thanksgiving.

Behind the Thanksgiving storm system will be a more quiet set-up but also the risk of much colder air settling in from a Canadian air mass. The Climate Prediction Center gives central Indiana an 80% chance of below average temperatures through early next week.
