Bonner was waived by the Indiana Fever on June 25 after missing five games due to "personal reasons." Bonner signed with the Mercury, the same team her fiancée Alyssa Thomas plays on, in July.

DeWanna Bonner has rejoined the Phoenix Mercury, signing as a free agent on Tuesday. She helped the franchise win two WNBA titles in her previous stint with the team which drafted her fifth in 2009.
