SATURDAY UPDATE: On Friday, Warner Bros/DC’s Superman added another $21.5M from 78 international box office markets. That brings the offshore flying cume to $40M through Friday.
It’s not a bird or a plane — it’s the latest “Superman” movie soaring towards the top of the box office. Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Superman” grossed an estimated $56.5 million domestically on Friday, on top of $22.
It’s a woman’s world at the box office as “Avengers” star Scarlett Johansson has become the top-grossing star according to total global ticket sales. The list, recently released by The Numbers, is not surprisingly packed with actors who are best known for playing superheroes and other varieties of world saviors.
Aamir Khan starrer film has earned ₹157.41 crore after 23 days. The film is reportedly set to release on YouTube for pay-per-view instead of a major OTT platform.
At the end of the second weekend, Jurassic World’s total collections would stand in the vicinity of Rs 67 crore, and the film has a bright chance of entering the Rs 100 crore club in India. Details
