The National Hurricane Center issued a warning for four major U.S. states on Monday morning. Heavy storms could be approaching part of the Gulf Coast this week. There is apparently an area of low localized pressure off of the east coast of Florida that could cause a disturbance later in the week.

Forecasters are keeping a close eye on an upper-level disturbance that could bring tropical development to the Gulf in the coming days, although the risk remains low.

The Gulf is getting attention once again for the potential of tropical development later this week. Heavy showers and storms expected, regardless.
