Instead, the runner up for MLS Coach of the Year was in the Chase Stadium interview room on Friday morning announcing his resignation two weeks after the team’s shocking first-round playoff exit.

Despite multiple regular season accolades, Inter Miami parts ways with head coach Tata Martino after failing to make a playoff run with Messi.

According to the Associated Press, Gerardo "Tata" Martino will resign as head coach of Inter Miami CF. ESPN reports Martino is leaving the team for personal reasons while having one year remaining on his contract with the club.
