Nick Sirianni was under fire for a late-season collapse that ended with an embarrassing first-round playoff ouster for the Eagles.

On Sunday night, after the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 at Super Bowl LIX, Sirianni was asked about offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and unleashed an NSFW plea. Moore has been linked to the New Orleans Saints head coaching vacancy, and most believe he'll take the job. However, his head coach wants him to stay put.

This time, Sirianni was strangely calm. He spent Sunday morning doing “the same crap I always do,” he said, which meant playing with his kids, poring through his game management sheet and spitballing with offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and associate head coach Kevin Patullo.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid, who coached the Eagles for 14 years (1999-2012), made five NFC Championships and lost to the New England Patriots in his only Super Bowl appearance with Philadelphia. Former Eagles coach Doug Pederson won a Super Bowl over the Patriots in 2018, but he never made it back.

Sirianni got his Gatorade bath long before the two-minute warning, perhaps the earliest a coach has gotten that treatment in a Super Bowl. This outcome couldn't have been predicted in September.
