Pitt's women's volleyball team has earned the overall No. 1 seed in the upcoming NCAA tournament. Pitt has been a No. 1 seed in the tournament the past three years, making it to the Final Four each time.

The Pittsburgh Panthers, a program that is 29-1 and has made the final four three years in a row, were named the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA women's volleyball tournament on Sunday, and will look to bring the ACC its first national title in the sport.

Pittsburgh, Nebraska, Penn State and Louisville earned top regional seeds Sunday in the NCAA women’s volleyball tournament and an inside track to the national semifinals.
