John Shiban has become the fifth showrunner to leave Law & Order: Organized Crime over the past four years. According to sources, his exit happened earlier this month, leading to a production pause. The Wolf Entertainment/Universal TV series,

Dean Norris, who starred on Breaking Bad alongside Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul for five seasons, joined Organized Crime in Season 4 as a guest star and was promoted to series regular status for Season 5. Back in April, toward the end of the fourth season, Norris shared that working with Shiban again was what hooked him into joining. He said:

Organized Crime and its showrunner have parted ways. Yes, again. John Shiban exited the police drama midway through production on Season 5, TVLine has learned. Shiban signed onto the series in October 2023.
