Chelsea completed an unbeaten season and set a points record in the Women's Super League with a 1-0 home win over Liverpool on Saturday and Arsenal held on for a 4-3 victory over Manchester United to finish second in the standings.

Chelsea ended the Women's Super League season unbeaten after Aggie Beever-Jones's stoppage-time goal secured a 1-0 win over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.But they were kept waiting for a goal by Liverpool before academy product Beever-Jones fired in a late winner as Chelsea became the first side to remain unbeaten in a 22-match WSL campaign.

Chelsea are in a battle to secure a Champions League place next season and could even be banned from the competition if they do end up qualifying for it
