Braves pitcher Spencer Schwellenbach has been placed on the 15-day injured list after breaking his right elbow during a start last weekend.

The Atlanta Braves designated Alex Verdugo for assignment to make room for fellow outfielder Jurickson Profar in a series of roster moves on Wednesday, that also included placing right-hander Spencer Schwellenbach on the 15-day injured list with a fractured right elbow.

The Atlanta Braves won't have right-handed starter Spencer Schwellenbach for at least the next four weeks because of a fractured elbow.
