Pete Crow-Armstrong steals second base and then scores to give the Cubs a 3-2 lead over the D-backs in the bottom of the 6th inning

Chicago Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong showed up at spring training on Thursday sporting big blue stars on his head. Crow-Armstrong, known for his outrageous hairstyles, drew attention from fans and teammates alike. He said it just kind of happened.

Pete Crow-Armstrong was on the back patio at the Cubs’ complex earlier this spring, shooting hoops with Dansby Swanson and Nicky Lopez to kill a few minutes. President of baseball operations Jed Hoyer stopped by,

In the opener, the Cubs put up 12 runs against the Los Angeles Dodgers. They followed that with seven runs in their second game against Los Angeles. Chicago then scored seven runs against the Chicago White Sox on Saturday and six runs versus the Texas Rangers on Sunday. In total, the Cubs have scored 32 runs in their four games played.

Speedy Pete Crow-Armstrong generated a run in the sixth inning by creating chaos on the basepaths. He stole second, and the throw bounced into center field. He checked behind him as he ran to third and then took off for home, sliding headfirst across the plate. He also made an impressive sliding catch on a short fly ball in the second.
