In a public statement, Luka Doncic's manager stressed just how much Luka values playing alongside LeBron James.

The Los Angeles Lakers reportedly told their new star, Luka Dončić, not LeBron James, about their impending sale that occurred last month.

Four NBA teams have contacted Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group expressing interest in trading for Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James. The leading scorer in NBA history, James picked up his 2025-26 player option with the Lakers.

A reporter claimed in a social media post that the Lakers "would like to move on from" LeBron James as soon as possible.

During the 2024-25 NBA season with the Lakers, James played in 70 games. He averaged 24.4 points per game to go along with 8.2 assists, 7.8 rebounds, and a steal, while shooting 51.3 percent from the floor and knocking down 37.6 percent of his three-point attempts.

Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group told NBA reporter Dave McMenamin of ESPN that four teams have contacted him with interest in trading for Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.  James, though, hasn’t requested a trade from the Lakers yet.

One NBA executive told Hoops Wire that he thinks James and the team's front office are "butting heads," citing the fact that the team hasn't officially announced the superstar's decision to opt in (h/t Lakers Daily ).
