Liverpool are to permanently retire the number 20 worn by Portuguese international Diogo Jota, after his death in a car crash in Spain last week, the Premier League champions announced on Friday.
Wolves manager Vitor Pereira, accompanied by his team, laid flowers and paused to remember the popular player outside Molineux stadium on Thursday afternoon. There have been numerous tributes from fans to the Portuguese forward, with flowers, shirts and other memorabilia left around the Billy Wright statue on Waterloo Road.
