Nnadi spent the first seven years of his career with the Chiefs before signing with the Jets this offseason. But he became expendable when the Jets added two veteran defensive tackles via trade last week. They acquired Harrison Phillips and a 2027 seventh-round pick from the Vikings in exchange for a 2026 sixth-rounder and 2027 sixth-rounder.

The Chiefs not only acquired Nnadi but also a 7th-round draft pick in 2027. In turn, the Jets received a 6th-round pick in 2027. Nnadi signed with the Jets as a free agent earlier in the offseason but had spent the entirety of his 7-year career in Kansas City.
