OpenAI has countered with a lawsuit against Musk accusing him of harassment. WASHINGTON — Elon Musk on Monday targeted Apple and OpenAI in an antitrust lawsuit alleging that the iPhone maker and the ChatGPT maker are teaming up to thwart competition in artificial intelligence.

Monday, xAI, the entrepreneur’s AI company, filed suit against Apple and OpenAI, alleging the pair were stifling AI competition, according to CNBC. Apple and xAI, Musk’s artificial-intelligence company, didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

Musk said the partnership between OpenAI and the iPhone-maker has given the ChatGPT-maker access to “billions of user prompts.”
