The Utah Board of Higher Education on Thursday unanimously appointed Chris Mallet as Weber State University's next president.

Weber State hopes to reinvest the money into the science field station its planning near Yellowstone National Park.

Chris Mallett was once a student at Weber State University. As of August 1, 2026, he will have a new title at WSU: President.
