Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon suffered an ankle injury and is expected to be out for at least four weeks. It leaves rookie running back Woody Marks, among the RBs in the roster who are in the pole position to start for the Texans on Week 1 of the NFL season.

Marks, the Texans' fourth-round pick out of USC, secured his first touchdown run during the second quarter against the Detroit Lions on a 7-yard run, giving Houston a 10-7 lead at Ford Field. The play marked the first touchdown of the afternoon for Houston's offense behind rookie quarterbac Graham Mertz.
