The White House is suspending public tours because of the construction of a 90,000-square-foot ballroom initiated by President Donald Trump, a White House official said.
All public tours, including those for student groups, are on hold as construction begins on a planned $200 million ballroom.
Offices gave various reasons for the pause, including “construction projects,” “extensive renovations” and “because of construction on the new White House ballroom.”
