Snow and rain are in the forecast for some parts of the U.S. as travelers hit the road and head to the airport for Thanksgiving.

Winter is strengthening its hold on most of the country, with several states issuing weather warnings this week due to concerns about hazardous conditions. Just days before Thanksgiving, reduced visibility and severe snow (up to 6 feet in some areas) are expected.
