Police are investigating a possible active shooter situation on Florida State University's campus. In a post on X, the university advised those on campus to shelter in place.

"An active shooter has been reported in the area of Student Union. Police are on the scene or on the way, Continue to seek shelter and await further instructions. Lock and stay away from all doors and windows and be prepared to take additional protective measures," the text message alert reads.

Florida State University reported an active shooter Thursday on its Tallahassee campus. Police are on campus and those affected are being treated at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.
