Cam Akers has been around the NFL block a few times in his career. That doesn't mean getting released for the first time hurts any less.

The New Orleans Saints are releasing veteran running back Cam Akers, but you probably knew that already if you follow him on social media.

Estime (5-11, 227 pounds) was picked by the Broncos in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL draft out of Notre Dame. He dressed for 13 games as a rookie, rushing 76 times for 310 yards and two touchdowns while adding five receptions for 27 yards as a receiver out of the backfield.

The Saints cut Cam Akers on Monday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Akers was a second-round pick of the Los Angeles Rams in the 2020 NFL Draft. He won a Super Bowl ring with the Rams.
