Joe Highsmith is taking that check home after an incredible weekend on the Champion Course. The 24-year-old made the cut on the number then fired rounds of 64-64 to seize the title. Brandt Snedeker was the last player to win after making the cut on the number, at the 2016 Farmers Insurance Open.

It all started with the Cognizant Classic at PGA National, which was a pushover early in the week with ridiculously low scores on the historically tough Champion Course. By week's end it was Joe Highsmith who collected his first PGA Tour victory after making the cut just on the number.
