PHILADELPHIA - The Phillies and Mets will play at the Field of Dreams site in Dyersville, Iowa next June, according to multiple reports including USA Today’s Bob Nightengale.

MLB has gone in different directions for similar events the past two years. It traveled to Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama, in 2024 to celebrate the history of the Negro Leagues. Earlier this month, Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee hosted the Speedway Classic.

The Phillies and the Mets met two years ago in London and now they’ll take the show on the road to the field of dreams in Iowa, the site of the iconic movie.

The Mets have a chance to pull of a rare sweep of the Braves in the series finale at 1:35 p.m. Sunday at Truist Park.

Friday night at Truist Park, with the trio in attendance, McLean did his best to channel their greatness in the second big-league start of his career. An efficient McLean held the Braves to only two earned runs over seven innings in the Mets’ 12-7 win.
