(CNN) – Baker Farms has issued a recall for its mustard greens due to listeria contamination. The Baker Farms curly mustard was sold in 16-ounce bags with a “best by” date of 11-21-2024. The impacted bags were distributed from Nov. 5 to Nov. 9. The listeria contamination was discovered in late November.

Baker Farms, based out of Norman Park, Ga., issued a recall of their 16-ounce curly mustard greens after a Listeria contamination was detected in Texas.

In addition to Texas, the greens went to distributors in Florida, Kentucky, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee. The Norman Park, Georgia, company says it learned only on Friday — the day after Thanksgiving, a popular day for cooking greens in families with Southern roots — from Texas about the listeria testing.

The product was sold in Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Louisana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.

If you live in the southern U.S. and recently bought mustard greens, check your fridge to make sure it's not a brand that has been recalled for a listeria risk.
