Conor McGregor has expressed his regret, but it’s seemingly not to the alleged victim who accused him of rape.

DUBLIN - Irish mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor sexually assaulted a woman at a party in Dublin in 2018 and must pay her nearly €250,000 (S$350,000) in damages, a jury decided on Nov 22. The jury of eight women and four men reached its verdict in the civil trial at Ireland's high court after six hours and 10 minutes of deliberation.

Conor McGregor's character, The Disruptor, will no longer appear in any "Hitman" games following the verdict in his Dublin sexual assault trial.

Hitman developer IO Interactive is distancing itself and its popular franchise from controversial mixed marital arts fighter Conor McGregor following a recent Irish High Court ruling in which a jury found him liable for sexually assaulting a woman in 2018.

Conor McGregor spoke out Monday after the former UFC champion lost a civil trial last week alleging he raped a woman six years ago. Last week, McGregor was found guilty by an Irish jury of sexually assaulting a woman named Nikita Hand in December 2018.
