The National Weather Service has confirmed nine tornadoes, mostly in mid-Michigan, amid Sunday's weather. One more report in Branch County is still under investigation. All of them were rated EF-1 or EF-0. The confirmed list includes a small tornado, rated EF-O, that hit along Wabash Road near Milan in Monroe County

A National Weather Service survey team went out Monday to inspect areas where damage was reported and rotation had been seen on radar as the storms marched across Michigan on Sunday night.

Five tornadoes touched down Sunday in Cass, Ingham, Kent, and Newaygo counties, the National Weather Service confirmed. The first one, an EF1, started at about 4:52 p.m. in Edwardsburg in Cass County, officials with the weather service's Northern Indiana office said.
