A former Kentucky county sheriff accused of fatally shooting a judge in his courthouse chambers in September has pleaded not guilty to one count of murder.

Former Letcher County Sheriff Shawn "Mickey" Stines was indicted on Thursday for the alleged murder of Letcher County District County Judge Kevin Mullins on Sept. 19.
