Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich publicly apologized on Wednesday for the prank call made by his son, Jax Ulbrich, to Shedeur Sanders while the Cleveland Browns quarterback was waiting to hear his name called in the 2025 NFL draft.

The Atlanta Falcons have been fined $250,000 and defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich has been fined $100,000 as the result of Ulbrich’s son participating in a prank call to Shedeur Sanders during the NFL draft.

In public remarks to reporters, Ulbrich apologized to the Sanders family and the Falcons organization. He took blame for leaving those phone numbers unsecured and said that he would not appeal the league's $100,000 fine. He also commended the Sanders family for being gracious in accepting the apology when they really didn't need to.
