Severe storms raced through the Chicago area Wednesday evening, prompting a tornado watch for parts of the area well into the evening and multiple tornado warnings in Northwest Indiana. A tornado warning was issued in the early evening for southeastern LaPorte County,

The National Weather Service Offices in St. Louis, Lincoln, Chicago and Indianapolis have been busy working on surveying damage from last Wednesday’s storms. On Friday Evening, the finishing touches were put on these surveys.
