The Mets' rotation before Frankie Montas went down had high upside, but was probably the biggest question mark surrounding the team. With Montas now out, the question mark regarding the starting staff gets bigger.

At the end of last season, Megill showed the type of pitcher he can be if he can attack the zone with consistency. In his final six starts, he allowed eight earned runs in 31 innings (2.32 ERA) with 36 strikeouts. The Mets won each one of those starts.
