Delhi's AQI improved to 'poor' on Monday, recording a reading of 280, slightly better than Sunday's 285. After a spell of very poor and severe categories, the city's air quality first dipped below 300 in 32 days on Sunday.

The 24-hour average AQI at 4 pm was slightly lower than Sunday's 285. Since October 30, air quality had been in the ‘very poor’ and ‘severe’ categories.

The improvement in air quality to consistent dry northwesterly winds blowing at around 8 km/h since Saturday has strengthened overnight, reaching up to 15 km/h on Sunday, dispersed pollutants.

For the second consecutive day on Monday, Delhi's air quality showed a slight improvement although it remained in the 'poor' category with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 273 in the morning. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB),
