Ten structures — including four homes — have been destroyed by a wildfire sweeping through central Oregon as thousands of homes in the state and in Northern California wine country remained under evacuation orders Monday.

Wildfires in California wine country and Central Oregon grew overnight, prompting hundreds of evacuations as firefighters worked Sunday to try to contain the blazes amid dry, hot weather.

A large wildfire, which has burned nearly 22,000 acres in central Oregon, has destroyed four homes and is threatening thousands more with only 5% containment.
