The Red Sox will go for a four-game sweep of the Yankees when the teams meet in the Bronx Sunday for the series finale. After starting the season series with a 9-6 loss to New York on June 6, the Red Sox have won eight straight and outscored the Yankees 48-22.

The Yankees (69-60) may also be getting desperate. They have lost eight of nine games this season against the Red Sox (71-59), who hold the top wild-card spot over them by two games. The Yankees hold the second wild-card position.

Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe was benched Sunday night for the finale of a critical four-game series against the rival Boston Red Sox. Volpe is mired in a 1-for-28 slump and leads the majors with 17 errors.
